MILWAUKEE — The Nuggets savored the deep-dish pizza.
The aroma of thick cheese and tomato sauce wafted through the visitor’s locker room at the United Center in Chicago late Tuesday night. It was a unique scent of the town the Nuggets enjoyed after their win over the Bulls, but it also represented the extent of Denver’s celebration after a memorable night in the Windy City.
In between bites, talk was centered on finishing the job. That meant prevailing on the second night of a back-to-back set, something the Nuggets had done just three times in 13 chances this season.
