Nuggets’ Bones Hyland reveals secret to busting slump: “Keep shooting.”

Nuggets sniper Bones Hyland has a tried-and-true method for busting out of a shooting slump.

“Keep shooting, honestly,” Hyland said without a trace of hesitation on Thursday.

“I know I’m a great shooter, I know I shoot the skin off the ball,” he said. “I work so hard. … It’s not a big deal. Next game, I can run off seven threes.”

Friday’s opponent, the Portland Trail Blazers, hopes that’s not the case, but it’s that unwavering confidence that former Nuggets president Tim Connelly became enamored with when he drafted Hyland two seasons ago.

Over his past three games, Hyland is just 9 for 35 from the field, including just 3-of-18 from the 3-point line.
