Nuggets All-Star Nikola Jokic let his emotions overtake him yet again, and he was ejected in the third quarter of Serbia’s FIBA World Cup loss to Spain on Sunday.
Jokic, taking on Nuggets forward Juancho Hernangomez in the final game of the second round in China, was frustrated after he was double-teamed by Hernangomez and Spanish center Marc Gasol. An official called a jump ball instead of a foul, and Jokic offered a few choice words in his direction.
Jokic wasn’t nearly as effective against Spain as he had been in prior games throughout the tournament, as Spain’s defense flustered Serbia’s precise attacks for an 81-69 win.
