The Nuggets have agreed to a contract buyout with shooting guard Jordan McRae after just four games with the team, a league source confirmed Sunday to The Denver Post’s Mike Singer.
McRae, 28, was acquired via trade from the Wizards on Feb. 6 for point guard Shabazz Napier. It appeared McRae’s length (6-foot-5, 179 pounds) and production in Washington, for which he averaged 12.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists, might be an asset on Denver’s bench. Now, it’s clear he was not a part of the franchise’s long-term plans.
McRae had eight points, five rebounds and three assists in his Denver debut against the Spurs, but his role declined since.
