Having won the franchise’s first NBA championship, the Nuggets aren’t resting on their laurels.
As the Nuggets head into Thursday’s NBA draft, currently armed with the No. 37 and No. 40 picks in the second round, Denver is actively exploring moving into the first round, including conversations with multiple teams, a league source told The Denver Post.
On Tuesday, the Nuggets hosted a workout including Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis, Connecticut’s Andre Jackson, Arkansas’ Jordan Walsh, Missouri’s Kobe Brown, Gonzaga’s Drew Timme and Wake Forest’s Tyree Appleby, two league sources said.
According to one source, Walsh’s shooting stood out among the group.
