INDIANAPOLIS – Nikola Jokic saved the Nuggets from sheer embarrassment and what would’ve been the ugliest loss of the season.
Denver blew what was once a 31-point lead before Jokic lifted them up, again. The Nuggets survived, 125-118, on Wednesday night against the Pacers, though the turnovers – including 14 in the second half – were maddening and nearly gave the game away.
Tied at 102 with 7:29 left in the fourth quarter, Jokic served up a couple clutch assists to Bones Hyland, buried several mid-range jumpers and proved trustworthy, once again, from the free-throw line. He saved 12 of his 37 points for the fourth quarter.
