Of all the things that have impressed Nuggets coach Michael Malone about rookie Nikola Jokic this season, it may be the Serbian big man's ability to fuel offensive movement that has stood out the most.
"I trust him 100 percent with the ball in his hands," Malone said of Jokic before the Nuggets game against the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
It's safe to say that faith is being rewarded.
Jokic scored Denver's first 11 points and never slowed down. He stuffed the stat sheet throughout the night, helping the Nuggets snap Toronto's winning streak at 11 games with a 112-93 rout in front of a sparse Pepsi Center.
