An ejection, a bloody nose and a piggyback ride.
Nikola Jokic ran the gamut of emotions Sunday afternoon, ultimately losing his temper late in the fourth quarter when the Nuggets could ill afford to lose their rock.
Jokic, who at that point had 23 points, 14 rebounds and four assists and was easily the Nuggets’ most reliable offensive threat, drew the ejection with less than four minutes left and Denver trying to forge a comeback.
It didn’t happen, and the Wizards hung on 95-90 at the Pepsi Center, stunning a Nuggets team vying for first place in the Western Conference.
