Nikola Jokic didn’t have to wait around too long to hear his name called during Thursday night’s All-Star draft.
Giannis Antetokounmpo made the Nuggets’ big man the third reserve selected in the draft, behind only Giannis’ Bucks teammate Khris Middleton and Pelicans star Anthony Davis.
Next weekend promises to be a busy one for Jokic who, in addition to playing in the Feb. 17 All-Star game in Charlotte, will compete in the Skill Challenge the night before.
Last week, Jokic was named the team’s first All-Star since Carmelo Anthony during the 2010-2011 season.
