WASHINGTON, D.C. – If you didn’t know any better, you’d think the Nuggets planted their fans in the nation’s capital.
That’s how much support the Nuggets had Wednesday night while pounding the Washington Wizards, 127-109.
It started in the first quarter, when Nikola Jokic’s dominance elicited real “M-V-P” chants from the away crowd. As the game wore on, Bones Hyland won them over with his shifty ball-handling and pace.
Not even current Wizards head coach (and former Nuggets assistant) Wes Unseld Jr. could solve the Jokic riddle. Asked before the game the best way to stop him, Unseld quipped: “By committee.
