He just signed a new contract with the Denver Nuggets, and he’ll look to prove that he’s worth it this year. Monte Morris won’t get a ton of time this year, playing behind both Jamal Murray and Isaiah Thomas, but he’ll have his times.
I really believe that the front office sees him as a future back-up point guard to Jamal Murray, and the Iowa State product is just getting another year of developing behind a veteran guy like IT. If Thomas leaves after next year, then it’ll be Morris’ spot.
