LeBron James said he didn’t “give much thought” to joining the Nuggets this past summer, but that didn’t stop Denver’s team president Josh Kroenke from doing his best to recruit him.
Kroenke, who vacationed with James in the summer of 2016 after the Cleveland Cavaliers won the title, mailed James a Nuggets throwback jersey.
“The white with the mountains that’s on it,” James said at shootaround Tuesday from the Pepsi Center. “He said, ‘You’ll look good in one of these.’”
James called Kroenke a “very dear friend of mine,” and said he discussed James joining the Nuggets “a couple times to me.
