It’s the demon on his shoulder, not his surgically repaired knee, that’s messing with Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray.
This is basketball, not an exorcism. So at this point, with discretion being the better part of valor, it probably makes little sense for Murray’s first NBA game back in a Denver uniform to be on the same cursed California basketball court where he tore the ACL in his left knee a little more than a year ago.
But nobody’s closing the door on Murray’s return.
This is not a tease. The Nuggets aren’t playing mind games with a 25-year-old star they still owe more than $100 million.
