Kobe Bryant scored nearly 34,000 points and won five championships for the wrong team. He said goodbye to basketball Wednesday night as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. His past 20 years should have been spent in Colorado, wearing a Nuggets uniform.
Please, do not tell me Denver cannot ever wear the NBA title.
Because if Bernie Bickerstaff had only listened to a knucklehead like me, the Nuggets not only would have already won multiple championship rings, but the fond farewell to Bryant would have been staged in Denver instead of Los Angeles.
