Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried missed his second consecutive game Tuesday night because of back pain. He’s officially day-to-day with the injury.
“He’s been getting treatment around the clock trying to get back,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. “Obviously, he’s had back problems in the past and we want to be smart with it; you don’t just want to throw him back out there and make the injury worse.”
Malone said he doesn’t think it is a long-term injury. Faried was a game-time decision to play against the Kings, which speaks to how close he apparently is to returning to action.
