Just when things started to look up for Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic, he has been thrust back into uncertainty because of soreness in his surgically repaired left knee.
Nurkic did not play Friday night in Denver against the Heat, two days after he suffered knee and ankle injuries in a win over Golden State. His left ankle has a mild sprain, and even Nurkic said he isn't worried about that.
The knee is another issue. Nurkic has had an MRI on it, and a course of action for how to proceed with him is being worked out.
