DENVER, May 18, 2015 – The NBA announced today that Denver Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic has been named to the All-Rookie Second Team.
Nurkic, 7-0, 279, appeared in 62 games (27 starts) in his rookie campaign, averaging 6.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.10 blocks in 17.8 minutes per game.
The 20-year-old Bosnian played 20-plus minutes in 26 games this season, with his averages jumping up to 10.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.27 steals and 1.73 blocks in those contests.
Nurkic is the first Nugget to be named to an All-Rookie team since Kenneth Faried (First Team) in 2012 and the first to be named to the Second Team since James Posey in 2000.
