The Denver Nuggets will reportedly buy out forward JJ Hickson's contract to allow the eight-year veteran to potentially sign with a playoff team, according to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.
The team will grant the buyout before the March 1 playoff-eligibility waiver deadline, per Stein.
Hickson is averaging 6.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per contest in 20 games with the Nuggets this season.
