Two weeks into his return to the NBA, Carmelo Anthony is already winning awards.
The former Nuggets star and current Trail Blazer was named Western Conference player of the week after averaging 22.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in three Portland wins.
Anthony shot 57.4% from the field over the 3-0 stretch, including 45.5% from 3-point range, as he claimed player-of-the-week honors for the 19th time in his career. The last time he received the award was March 10, 2014, with the New York Knicks.
Anthony had spent a little over a year out of the NBA after playing his final game with the Houston Rockets in November 2018.
