Former Denver Nuggets' player Ty Lawson entered a guilty plea on Thursday in connection with a suspected drunk driving incident that happened in January.
Lawson pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired and failing to drive in a single lane, according to Denver County Court records. Charges of speeding 25 to 39 mph over the speed limit, driving under the influence of alcohol and careless driving were dismissed.
The point guard was arrested on Jan. 23 on suspicion of drinking and driving. Lawson was stopped at 1:19 a.m. while traveling 61 mph in a 35 mph zone on Park Avenue West in Denver, according to a Denver police report.
