Daniel Amigo knows his pre-draft workout slot with the Nuggets originally belonged to Texas A&M’s Tyler Davis.
But Amigo’s agent called Saturday to alert the former University of Denver standout big man that he “better be ready” to be evaluated by the local NBA team.
“I’m super grateful for it,” Amigo said while standing inside the Nuggets’ practice facility Monday afternoon. “Thank God for it.”
Evaluators say Amigo is a longshot to make an NBA roster this fall. But the 6-foot-10, 245-pound prospect, who thrived under Denver coach Rodney Billups, called the opportunity to work out for the Nuggets “surreal.
