There was pressure on all of the attempts.
Saturday night, Emmanuel Mudiay toed the free-throw line with 1:03 left in the home game against the Detroit Pistons and the Nuggets down by one point. These were pressure free throws for a player who had been struggling at the line.
And yet ...
Swish.
Swish.
Mudiay's free throws gave the Nuggets a one-point lead. He made two more with less than a second to play, clinching Denver's 104-101 victory. He was 4-for-4 at the free-throw line when Denver needed them most.
