OMAHA, Neb. — In the end, Mike Miller’s decision to return to the Nuggets this past summer came down to money.
The Nuggets’ money.
And it wasn’t the Nuggets showing him the money. It was the money they showed Dwyane Wade in July to try and coax the star guard, then a free agent, to play for them. Miller was in that New York meeting with Wade, his former teammate in Miami, and the sight of it all was the clincher in his decision to come back to the Mile High City.
“When I saw that, my whole thing is being part of an organization…not to say we’re trying to win a championship this year, but being part of an organization that wants to go that way,” Miller said.
