Former Nuggets star Dikembe Mutombo was at the Brussels airport during the Tuesday attack that killed, as of press time, 31 and wounded dozens of others.
Mutombo went onto Facebook and posted twice to confirm that he was safe.
Mutombo, 49, played 18 seasons in the NBA, including his first five with the Nuggets. A 10-time all-star, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
The Dikembe Mutombo Foundation also posted on Facebook that the retired NBA star was unharmed.
