The Nuggets faced Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night at Pepsi Center with a third of the roster not available.
Out of the game were Danilo Gallinari (thigh), Will Barton (personal reasons), Gary Harris (foot), Juancho Hernangomez (ankle) and Mike Miller (personal reasons). It left the Nuggets with virtually no one on the wing for a game in which keeping Westbrook out of the lane was paramount.
Nuggets coach Michael Malone said he expected Miller to return Saturday, in time for Sunday’s game at Phoenix.
“Obviously, Mike’s been great,” Malone said. “We communicate but it’s important he’s with his family right now.
