The Denver Nuggets were able to snag the veteran, Isaiah Thomas, on a veteran minimum deal. The deal is only worth two million for a year.
Basically, it is a prove it type of contract for the former MVP candidate. While there are certainly concerns on the defensive end of the floor, one cannot help but feel a sense of promise with the high powered offensive weapon coming off of Denver’s second unit.
After all, he is only two seasons removed from a year where he averaged almost 30 points per game. Last season, he did have a down year which saw him land on the Cleveland Cavaliers to eventually be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
