The Denver Nuggets are looking to kick their rebuild into overdrive, not only in terms of record, but by building and fostering a good environment. A key to building a good culture is veteran leadership, and Jameer Nelson seems to have accepted this position.
According to BSN Denver, Nuggets GM Tim Connelly was on Mile High Sports Radio. Connelly discussed how Nelson was forging a bond with his teammates through the offseason:
“Next week Jameer on his own dime is flying all of our players that aren’t participating in the European championships to Philadelphia to work out for one week and he pays for everything,” Connelly said.
