Jamal Murray played the best basketball of his career this season and has developed into the second-best scoring option for the Nuggets. He averaged 16.7 PPG in the 2017-18 season. This year in the playoffs he averaged 21.3 PPG. Kyrie Irving at age 22 only averaged 19 PPG in the playoffs and 21.7 PPG in the regular season.
Murray’s improvements have been critical to the Nuggets’ success as a team. Not many 22-year-old players in NBA history have performed as well as Murray did in the regular season and postseason.
