MEMPHIS — Getting a road win is challenging in the NBA. Particularly for the Denver Nuggets.
But with the shot and game clocks both winding down, Gary Harris dribbled around a crowd and pulled up for a 20-foot step back jumper, the big shot in Denver’s 108-102 victory over the Grizzlies Friday night at FedEx Forum.
The victory to begin the Nuggets’ (34-28) three-game road trip kept Denver in the eighth spot in a crowded Western Conference playoff standings. It also upped Denver’s road record to 10-19 to start a month in which it will play 11 of 15 games away from home.
