The Denver Nuggets have had a few teams in their history who had championship potential. Some of the teams have boasted players of the likes of Kiki Vandeweghe, Alex English and Dan Issel.
Some have had the talents of Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony. Some have even had great coaches who took them further than expected such as the 2013 team led by head coach, George Karl.
However, there are two clear cut teams in Nuggets’ history who rise above every other team in Denver’s long history. Of course, I am talking about the 1985 team lead by head coach, Doug Moe, Alex English and Fat Lever along with the 2009 team led by George Karl, Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups.
