Denver Nuggets briefs: Michael Malone cutting back on practices, shootarounds as season winds down

In an effort to prevent physical and mental fatigue, the Nuggets did not hold a morning shootaround for the third consecutive game before Tuesday night’s matchup against Indiana.

Denver is still feeling the effects of its recently completed 15-day road trip. The Nuggets were also without injured starters Gary Harris and Wilson Chandler on Sunday, but still pulled out a wild win against Milwaukee. And they’re coming off two consecutive overtime wins, which have resulted in starters logging about 40 minutes in each game.

“I could get them out of bed and run them up and down the court,” Malone said.
