SAN ANTONIO — Nuggets starting big man Mason Plumlee is expected to be out for “a little while” with a calf strain sustained during Monday’s loss to Boston, coach Michael Malone said during his pregame availability before Tuesday’s game against the Spurs.
Plumlee left during the fourth quarter and was on crutches in the locker room after the game. He stayed behind in Denver on Tuesday to get an MRI.
Plumlee is averaging 7.4 points, six rebounds and two assists per game this season while taking over as the primary frontcourt starter alongside Nikola Jokic with Paul Millsap recovering from wrist surgery.
