David Adelman has been hired as the Nuggets’ assistant coach, the team announced Friday.
Adelman joins Michael Malone’s staff after serving as an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic last year. He was also an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves for three seasons. He spent five years in all with Minnesota, and coached their summer league team three seasons.
Prior to that, Adelman spent five season as head coach of Lincoln High School in Portland, Ore., going 83-53 during that time, winning a state 6A title in 2009.
The Nuggets on Friday also announced the promotion of Tommy Balecetis to director of basketball strategy and analytics.
