Daily Nugget: Jamal Murray releases short film of Jamaica Summer Basketball Camp

Jamal Murray’s ties to Canada are well-known as the Kitchener, Ont. native is arguably the best player from his homeland at the moment. However, his West Indian roots are also significant for him as well.

This summer, Murray went to his father’s native country of Jamaica to run a two-day basketball clinic for children. The Father and Son camp, as he branded it with his dad Roger, was held at Montego Bay Community College, along with fellow NBA player Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, and hosted almost 800 kids.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Murray released a short film chronicling his time out in Jamaica.
