LOS ANGELES – If Friday was a preview of a potential playoff series, the Nuggets have a daunting task ahead of them.
Los Angeles’ two-headed monster of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George drilled the Nuggets for 43 points as the Clippers pounded Denver 132-103 on Friday night at Staples Center. The loss dropped Denver’s record to 40-19 and into a two-way tie for the No. 2 seed in the West. The two will meet once more on March 18 in Denver to determine the tiebreaker.
The Clippers outworked the Nuggets on the glass (47-39) and blasted their reserve unit in terms of scoring production, 73-49.
