Well, that’s one way to celebrate.
Paul Millsap, on his 35th birthday, wrested the Nuggets from a double-digit deficit and paved the way for a massive second-half comeback over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Millsap, on a minutes restriction since returning from his knee injury, scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half and the Nuggets rolled to a 127-120 victory at the Pepsi Center.
The Nuggets’ fourth win in a row improved their record to 38-16, their best start in NBA franchise history, as they await Wednesday night’s matchup against the Western Conference-best Los Angeles Lakers.
