Anticipating a full schedule, Askia Booker took extra time to get his body in condition to handle the workload.
That included adding eight pounds of muscle, mostly located in his legs, to take the repeated pounding.
"These workouts are coming fast so I have to make sure my body is prepared, I'm in shape, I'm strong," Booker said. "I think my body is the biggest thing I have to work on."
On Wednesday, Booker — the former Colorado Buffaloes standout guard — put that extra work to the test. He'd already had a workout with the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
