Altitude has announced it will waive its exclusive broadcasting rights for Avalanche and Nuggets first-round playoff games, thus all games will be available locally on national platforms such as NBC (NHL) and TNT (NBA) in addition to Altitude.
In addition, Altitude also announced it’s pursuing streaming distribution deals that would “expand and augment Altitude’s coverage.” Altitude has said previously that a streaming service wasn’t financially sustainable, citing lack of scale and efficiency.
Altitude is owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, which also owns the Avalanche and Nuggets. Altitude is not available to Comcast and Dish Network subscribers, and multiple Avalanche and Nuggets games in the NHL and NBA bubbles, respectively, have been blacked out because of Altitude’s exclusive rights.
