As we all know, the season is going fast and we already entered the 2017 year. The Nuggets are standing at a 14-19 record and they are doing their best to secure that 8th seed in the tough Western Conference.
Coach Mike Malone has been doing all kinds of things as of late so that the team can stay competitive and win games. As expected, there are some sacrifices that are needed to be made and one of them was decreasing the minutes (and some DNP-CD) of Denver’s big man, Jusuf Nurkic.
This has not been easy because we all know how Nurkic can be a defensive presence in the paint and a great hustler (things that Denver needs, ironically), but his performance has been somewhat affected because of his struggle to make baskets and the resurgence of “Big Honey,” Nikola Jokic.
