Our Denver Nuggets feature a pair of players set to represent their home countries at the rapidly approaching Olympic games. On Saturday, the basketball portion of the much-maligned Rio Olympics tips off with Nikola Jokic and Joffrey Lauvergne set to take on the heavily-favored United States and bring the gold medal back to Serbia and France respectively.
Both Denver Nuggets’ road more a bit more difficult, not only did Lauvergne’s France squad and Jokic’s Serbian team wind up in the same group, Group A, but the gold medal-favorites — the United States — ended up in Group A, as well.
