Everybody knew the stakes were high. If the Denver Nuggets won, they would reclaim the top spot in the Western Conference with just 15 games to go. However, they had a tough obstacle to go through, and they weren’t able to get the job done.
The Warriors dominated the Nuggets for most of the game outside of a second quarter where Denver was able to climb back into the game.
The Nuggets allowed Klay Thompson to return from an injury and drop in 39 points on 9-11 three point shots. Kevin Durant also poured in 26 points to go with six assists.
