The Denver Nuggets remain on the fringes of the NBA Western Conference playoff race, and head coach Brian Shaw says the team isn't actively shopping two of its most coveted pieces, Arron Afflalo and Wilson Chandler.
Shaw even finds himself having to constantly tell his two stars that they're not on the trading block - at least as of yet.
"I just have to try to do a good job of assuring them that I'm not, and we're not, actively shopping them and putting them out there," Shaw said, via the Denver Post "Obviously calls come in, and we field calls. But we're not saying, 'Hey, we're trying to get rid of Arron, we're trying to get rid of Wilson.' That's not the case at all. That's all we can really tell them."

Chandler has even been told that he won't be dealt before the February deadline. However, he's savvy enough about the business side of things that he wouldn't be surprised if that message changed.
"If a deal comes along that's a pretty good deal, you've got to make it of course," Chandler said. "And some guys say they're not going to trade you, and then they trade you. I'm not saying that (Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly) is that guy, but you never know. You can never feel too safe about anything."
