Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson was arrested on Saturday on a domestic violence charge, according to ABC 7 news in Denver. Details of the arrest were not immediately available, but court records show the charge involves harassment that includes either striking, shoving or kicking in addition to a charge related to property damage charge
Lawson, 25, signed a four-year, $48 million contract extension last October. Lawson, a four-year NBA veteran, is expected to be the Nuggets point guard of the future. He was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves in February 2011 in exchange for a first-round draft pick.
In April 2012, Lawson plead guilty to a charge of permitting an unauthorized person to drive, following a citation for careless driving.
