Injuries continue to pile up for the Broncos as the regular-season nears. Defensive end Zach Kerr bruised his knee during Saturday’s preseason game against Green Bay and is expected to miss “a couple of weeks, according to coach Vance Joseph. Kerr could be out for the opener against the Chargers on Sept. 11.

“Two weeks from today is pushing it, so I’m not sure,” Joseph said, adding that the team will not make a move to account for his temporary absence.

The defensive line lost Billy Winn to a season-ending knee injury in the preseason opener and are currently without starting defensive ends Derek Wolfe (ankle sprain) and Jared Crick (back).
