Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen declares for the NFL draft

Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has played his final game as a Cowboy.

Allen announced he’s declaring for the 2018 NFL draft following Wyoming’s 37-14 victory over Central Michigan in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, in which he completed 11 of 19 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns.

Allen, a 6-foot-5, 233-pound junior out of Firebaugh, Calif., threw for 5,066 career yards, 44 passing touchdowns and 21 interceptions in his three seasons at Wyoming. In his two seasons as a starter, he helped the Cowboys to 18 wins, two bowl appearances and a berth in the 2016 Mountain West championship game.
