With “long season ahead” still, Broncos come out of bye week hoping they have offensive answers

Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett spent the first part of his team’s bye week in the office but then got a little time with his family in Vail.

“It was absolutely beautiful,” he told reporters Monday of his first trip to the ski destination.

Players decamped for destinations near and far including quarterback Russell Wilson, who went to Cabo.

Safety Justin Simmons? No such luxury, but his downtime came at a perfect time. He rushed to the hospital with his wife about three hours after the team’s charter flight from London landed back in Denver. The couple welcomed their second child a short time later.
