With Emmanuel Sanders’ new contract, Broncos bridging the future with young QBs

Emmanuel Sanders is fond of saying that he bets on himself. To him, he’s a sure thing. And when the Broncos got within a week of their season-opener with Sanders’ lingering contract negotiation still on the hook, he bet on himself again.

“I guess so,” Sanders said Friday. “My bank account says it.”

Sanders on Wednesday set a money bar for speedy, big-play No. 2 wide receivers, signing a three-year, $33 million contract with $27 million guaranteed. That is a healthy chunk of change, enough to provide for his “kids’ kids’ kids,” Sanders said. So what will he do with all that money?
