Will Parks got the news and immediately picked up the phone.
He understands the NFL is a business, but when the Broncos cut ties with fellow safety Darian Stewart, who started 61 games in Denver, Parks lost a teammate and mentor. But in return he received a rare opportunity. So Parks called Stewart, whose advice went something like: “It’s your time. It’s all up to you. The position is yours to get.”
“Growing up and playing the game, you look forward to having the opportunity to go out there and be a complete time starter for a team like this,” Parks said in a recent interview.
