After being drafted in the 7th round, 250th overall, out of Northwestern in 2015, there were no expectations of Trevor Siemian. Very few raised an eyebrow when Trevor ousted incumbent 3rd stringer Zac Dysert in training camp during his rookie year.
In the preseason of the 2016 season, Trevor held off newcomers Paxton Lynch and Mark Sanchez and suddenly found himself the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos. Despite a lingering shoulder injury, Siemian managed to start 14 games. However, fans grew frustrated with pedestrian performance.
In 2017, fans were hopeful that Paxton Lynch would finally take the reins of the quarterback position.
