Former Denver Broncos receiver Wes Welker is working out with the New York Giants Tuesday, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
Welker, 34, played with the Broncos in 2013 and 2014, getting 122 receptions for 1,242 yards and 12 touchdowns in 27 games.
Since his two-year contract expired with Denver after last season, he has failed to latch on to another team. His history of concussions may be a cause for teams to pause at signing the veteran.
I'm told the #Giants are working out WRs Wes Welker and Hakeem Nicks, among other players today, per their regular kick the tires Tuesday.
